Es wäre ja tendenziell naheliegend, wenn man schon die Unsummen für Lizenzen ausgibt dann auch das volle Programm anzugehen.
Allerdings sind ja, im Gegensatz zu Star Wars, Batman und Harry Potter die Inhaberrechte und Lizensierungsmöglichkeiten beim Herrn der Ringe dermaßen fragmentiert...
Könnte aber auch erklären, warum es so ellenlange gedauert hat.

Das Teil wird bestimmt richtig geil, doch bin ich der Meinung, Lego ist nur dann Lego wenn die Akteure nicht sprechen. Für mich ist an der Stimmung was verloren gegangen......

„LEGO Herr der Ringe“ ist genau das, was der Name verspricht: Eine stimmungsvolle Versoftung der drei bekannten Kinofilme. Traveller's Tales beweisen erneut viel Humor und Liebe zum Detail. Gerade die Zwischensequenzen sind unglaublich witzig und immer wieder für einen Lacher gut. Spielerisch tritt „LEGO Herr der Ringe“ aber auf der Stelle. Trotz Open-World, Crafting und Extras-Suche verliert sich das Spiel zu oft in repetitiven Aufgabenketten und einem zu seichten Schwierigkeitsgrad. Besonders Einzelspieler entlockt das häufig nur ein müdes Gähnen.
